Learners first engage individually, conducting a browser search of a topic and then reading and analyzing a realistic case story to develop their initial insights. Next, they collaborate in breakout teams to answer thought-provoking questions, encouraging critical thinking and team-based problem-solving.
The learning experience deepens during a debrief session, where teams reflect on their answers and share perspectives. Learners then step into action, role-playing the case story to practice decision-making and communication in a simulated OD intervention scenario. After the role play, a debrief of the role play fosters reflection on the outcomes and lessons learned.
Written by a very experienced OD researcher and instructor, this is a supplementary college text that can be paired with a major textbook in OD.
