Description
The United Nations (UN) as a system of collective security is in a state of paralysis; terminally comatose and in effect dying a slow death. The UN is not able to prevent the egregious actions of some its most powerful members. The Russian invasion of Ukraine, in February 2022, is a case in point, but other major powers have also systematically violated the provisions of international law. To address these challenges, this book explores the case for transforming world order, and discusses the future of multilateralism. It will be an important reference work for students, researchers and policy-makers in geopolitics and international relations.
